The Lawrence CCL Climate Summit is designed to bring together college-age students from Wisconsin who are interested in climate advocacy, along with all CCL volunteers interested in learning more, networking with other CCLers and supporting young adults in our state.
The Climate Summit will feature speakers and climate workshop breakouts, including Climate Advocate Lobby Training, election advocacy, CCL’s CF&D Movement, and training on how to start other campus chapters of CCL.
To attend, please fill out the registration form here prior to Wednesday, April 1. This event is free of charge, with lunch provided, and we would love to see you there!
CCL Lawrence Climate Summit
Saturday, April 18, 10 am – 4:15 pm
Lawrence University Campus, Appleton, WI
Lawrence University is one of many colleges across the nation that has a CCL campus chapter, but since they’re the only one in Wisconsin, they are working to open up opportunities for collaboration with other colleges in our state to support environmental initiatives. We wish to bring as many environmentally-focused college students and other CCL WI volunteers together as possible.
Please feel free to share this information with any Wisconsin college-aged students you may know. Anyone who is interested but unable to attend is encouraged to reach out to Emelyn Beaster, group leader of Lawrence University CCL chapter. She is a great resource for any questions about CCL and how to start a campus chapter. Emelyn’s email address is: emelynbee@gmail.com.
Let’s all work together in support of organizing college-age students in Wisconsin CCL for climate advocacy!
